Lesa Smith is a high school English teacher in Toronto, Canada. She loves all things pop culture and tries to bring that into her classrooms in ways that focus on learning and engagement.

Plus, if there’s a way to add more poetry, she does that too! She wholeheartedly believes that poetry can fit anywhere in the curriculum and that it shouldn’t feel as daunting as it often is made to.

Outside of school, she is a solo parent raising a curious and amazing 9-year-old, while consuming London fog lattes and audiobooks!
